And work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7 (New Living Translation)
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 (New Living Translation)
The average American Christian prays for 20 minutes each week…including praying grace before eating. This challenge invites people who live, work, pray, or go to church in Raytown (or people who know anyone who does any of these things) to pray for the Raytown community for 20 minutes, and to pray for a Raytown church for 10 minutes each week for 2010:
1)pray for the greater Raytown community for 20 minutes weekly, which equals the total average weekly prayer by American Christians.
2)pray for a church in the greater Raytown community for 10 minutes weekly. If you attend the Raytown Vineyard Church, we encourage you to pray for our church. If you attend another Raytown area church, we encourage you to pray for your church. If you don’t attend a church in Raytown, we invite you to “adopt” a church to pray for.
