Sharing our God Stories

May 30, 2012

This Summer, we will be taking some time at Friday Night Home Group to share our God stories with one another.

In the Book of Acts, nearly every recorded evangelistic conversation began with “what Jesus did in my life”.  As we are exploring how the early church did things, we have the opportunity to try out one of their primary methods.  Every God story is a miracle that will increase our faith and hope.

Sharing our God Stories will also give us the opportunity to understand one another better, and to gain futher insight into everyone’s strengths and dreams.

Our volunteers so far for this Summer are:

Friday June 1–Wilburn

Friday, June 8–Crystal

Friday, June 15–Liza

Friday, June 29–Donna

Friday, July 6–Michelle

Friday, July 13–Jon & Lauren

Friday, July 20–No Home Group

Friday, July 27–Carole

Friday, August 3–Marjorie

If you are interested in sharing your God story, please let Tim know.

Friday Night Home Group meets at the Truesdales. Snacks at 7, and Worship starts at 7:30.

Need more information, including directions to the Truesdale’s: send a note here.

Growing in Worship

May 25, 2012

We are so excited to welcome Stephanie Richmond to come and speak this week about how to worship God in every aspect of life.

She is highly experienced in this area, having taught intensives for a three year program “Worship Track” in voice, creative arts, & the preferences of God, examples from Mosaic, Davidic, New Testament, & Heavenly Worship. Her work as Worship Director, Recording Studio Mgr, Creative Arts Development, Regional Operation Trainer, Mentor, & Mom are delights in preparation for this season.

Along with husband Damon and their two sons, Dylan and Gage, the Richmonds have a family mission to see Christ’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane realized. (John 17) Christ’s prayer was for all believers & those who will believe, to be one, just as God the Father, Jesus the Son, & the Holy Spirit are one.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, the Lord called them to Kansas City as partners with the Daniel Academy & other like-minded families in training up young people who will be lovers of God & do heroic exploits out of His love.

We are Reaching Out Worldwide

May 16, 2012

From the very beginning, we knew that the Raytown Vineyard Church was going to have an impact in Raytown, in the greater Kansas City area, and worldwide.  We have been more focused on our reach locally and regionally, because that has been easier to see.  But now, through the tool of technology, we have been able to capture a clearer picture of the worldwide reach of our church.

Each of the countries highlighted above has been the source of activity on our website in THE LAST 12 WEEKS.  In addition to the more than 70 nations listed, there are also several who have tried to access our site, but who have been blocked due to to governmental denial of access.

Ask for More

May 6, 2012

This week, we took a look at God’s desire for us to Ask for More.

If you would like to listen to the message, just click here.

Take a look at 7 Truths about Asking for More.  Then answer questions about where you are in the issues of dealing with Asking for More:

7 Truths about Asking for More

1) God is asking for more.

2) God is looking for people who are asking for more.

3) Sometimes we forget to ask for more.

4) Sometimes we are afraid to ask for more. Sometimes we are afraid it won’t happen. Sometimes we are afraid that it will happen.

5) God is honored when we ask for more to give it away.

6) There is a difference between asking for more and striving for more.

7) Are you willing to ask for more?
