The Raytown Vineyard Church Serves the Community

May 5, 2010

On Saturday, the City of Raytown held its Community Clean-Up Day that allowed community residents to dispose of excess household items.  This event was co-sponsored by the Raytown Parks & Recreation Department, the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Shepherd’s Center of Raytown.

We were honored to participate by providing hospitality for City staff and volunteers, in partnership with the City, Chamber of Commerce, Hy-Vee and Benetti’s Coffee Experience.

Caroling Party

December 23, 2009

Last night, a group of 17 (including 12 adults and 5 kids) took advantage of an unseasonably warm evening by taking the message of Jesus to the streets of Raytown.

After stopping at the residences of several elderly friends and members, our final stop was at Benetti’s Coffee Experience, in Downtown Raytown.

Afterwards, we wrapped up the evening at the Truesdale Home for some toe warming hot chocolate.

The Raytown Vineyard Church is teaming up with Prison Fellowship Ministries and dozens of community volunteers to hold an Awareness/Fundraiser Event for Angel Tree on Saturday, October 17th from 6-9 PM at Benetti’s Coffee Experience, located at 6109 Blue Ridge Blvd in downtown Raytown.

Angel Tree provides Christmas presents to children who have one or both parents incarcerated.  Click here to learn about the 1.5 Million reasons to partcipate in Angel Tree.  As prisoners and their families are a foundational commitment for the Raytown Vineyard, this event is very near and dear to our hearts.  Our goal is to attract 200 participants and raise $2000 for this charity.

We will have face painting and crafts for the kids, fire pits for s’mores, Raku firing by Mary Bliss, and two live bands who will play at no charge: Brendan Hollis  and My Science Fiction Twin

Prison Fellowship representatives will also have a booth set up to provide information about Angel Tree and will speak and show videos in between band sets.

Remember, IT’S FOR THE KIDS!
