Here are the main thoughts we explored together:

  1. God’s demonstrates His character and nature through His plan for motherhood.
  2. God ’s plan for motherhood is built around Godly mothers.
  3. Godly motherhood is built around Godly families.
  4. God heals in community—including mother wounds.
  5. God is committed to motherhood.

Here are some questions to ask as we are reading and meditating on the Word:

Who is God?

How does God see me?

How can I pursue Him?

This week, we took a look at Genesis 1 and shared a message on God’s Earth Day.

If you would like to listen to the message, just click here.

Here are the main thoughts we explored together:

  1. God’s created the Earth by His word, and it was good.
  2. God retained ownership of the Earth, and gave man responsibility to manage it.
  3. God will call man to account for how we used each resource he handed to us to manage.
  4. God hears the groaning of the Earth waiting for its redemption.
  5. God has a plan for the future of the Earth under Jesus’s leadership.

Here are some questions to ask as we are reading and meditating on the Word:

Who is God?

How does God see me?

How can I please Him?

Is Feeding People a Spiritual Activity?

June 26, 2011

Food is a huge part of our lives!  When we aren’t actually eating, many of us are thinking about eating.  In fact, for some of us, food can easily become an obsession–but that’s a topic for another day.

Today, we will be addressing this fundamental question~”Does God Call Feeding People a Spiritual Activity?”.  We will begin to answer some questions today:

o What makes an activity a “spiritual activity” in God’s eyes?
o What does the Bible say about food?
o In the Book of Acts, what were the spiritual standards for people who oversaw food distribution?
o Does God have a Plan to feed the hungry people in our community, country, and world?
o Do you have a role in that Plan?

If you would care to look ahead, feel free to review Acts 6:1-7, which will be the centerpiece for our discussion.

Come and join us on Sunday at 5 PM as we CONNECT in shared space at 5413 Blue Ridge Cutoff, as we share a Sermon called “Does God Call Feeding People a Spiritual Activity?”.

The Raytown Vineyard Church Serves the Community

May 5, 2010

On Saturday, the City of Raytown held its Community Clean-Up Day that allowed community residents to dispose of excess household items.  This event was co-sponsored by the Raytown Parks & Recreation Department, the Raytown Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Shepherd’s Center of Raytown.

We were honored to participate by providing hospitality for City staff and volunteers, in partnership with the City, Chamber of Commerce, Hy-Vee and Benetti’s Coffee Experience.
